Day One:
•How
the refrigeration cycle works
•Types
of refrigerants and oils
•Identifying
and using refrigerant
•Understanding
compressors, evaporators, &
condensers
•Working
on metering devices
•Retrofitting
new refrigerant
•Receivers
and accumulators
•And
much, much more…
This interactive first day give each
attendee a firm understanding of how a
cooling system operates, and some of the
pitfalls to look for when servicing
these magical systems. You’ll learn how
to use the service manifold gauges, how
to discharge a system with a recovery
machine, and re-charge it using the
proper tools. You’ll even get a list of
the tools and equipment that you’ll need
to be a AC/R service tech, and where to
get them!
Day Two:
•Understanding
the clean air act, and the laws
•Dealing
with the EPA
•Retrofitting
procedures
•Troubleshooting
a complete refrigeration system
•Testing
the electrical components
•EPA
Certification testing
This second day complete the learning
process by challenging the student using
our PC based interactive refrigeration
system. The instructor will place a
common spit system into a fault
condition, and as a team, the class will
take temperature, pressure, and other
needed measurements to diagnose some of
the most common failures associated with
these systems.
Then you’’l take the test to allow you
to gain a certification by the EPA to
put this new knowledge to work…Fast!
