ITU Instructors
Meet our Instructors:
Our
instructors are people who have done the work. We require a formal education,
along with at least fifteen years of hands-on employment history prior to
employment with ITU. This experience, along with the ability and personality, to
provide the level of training we provide is hard to find. We're proud of our

Dave Carpenter
Dave offers over eighteen years on the plant floor troubleshooting
and designing electrical systems. He is an Electrical Engineer and has
worked for TRW , Raytheon, and PolyGram Records as both a maintenance
electrician and as an Engineer. He brings his experience into every
classroom and loves sharing it with maintenance people all over the
country. Dave has been teaching since 2001 and serves a President of ITU. |

Kent Foglesong
Kent has over 24 years in maintenance with both electrical and
extensive HVAC experience. His degree is in commercial refrigeration
along with years of experience in electrical maintenance. Having worked
in the construction industry, he spent most of his career working for a
major restaurant chain with over 800 locations nationwide doing
installations and maintenance on the electrical and HVAC systems. His
outgoing personality is a big hit in the classroom and his wealth of
knowledge provides students a great learning experience. |

Jim DePina
Jim, or "Big Jim" as his friends call him, has spent twenty
years in the US Navy and an additional career as a plant maintenance
electrician with Johnson Controls. As an electrical Flight Systems
Technician in the Navy, Jim honed his skills that spill over into every class he
teaches. His "Big" personality and his background give him a "Big"
advantage while teaching our award winning classes. |

Jon Hineman
Jon brings not only a maintenance background earned while working for
Perdue Farms, but extensive electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding,
and mechanical strengths as well. Having taught as a High School
agriculture shop teacher, he gets picked on around the office as being
the "intellectual" of our group. Jon brings his unique sense of humor
and wit into every classroom and shares a wealth of knowledge to every
student. |

Kim Breitweiser
Kim has a degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Robotics
along with a wealth of knowledge acquired while working for APEX
Controls doing electrical and controls troubleshooting, installation, and
maintenance. Having served in the US Army as a communications and
logistics specialist, Kim brings a strong background in PLC, Automation,
Electrical and Industrial Controls to the classroom. Her high energy
personality and passion for her talents is a huge advantage to
students in the classroom. |

Mark Majors
Mark brings his experience as a Power Plant Operator along with
construction, commissioning, and start-up of gas turbine power
generation equipment into the each classroom. Mark obtained his skills
as an a Electrical/Electronics Technician in the US Navy for twenty years,
while spending the last four years as an electrical instructor in the
Navy. His experience in advanced electrical systems, generator
maintenance, power distribution, and safety is a huge asset while in the
classroom. |
